Did Sony give me what I expected and wanted?

In this post, I made a list of three things I wanted from Sony and three things I expect. Let’s see which of those came true.

What I expected
  1. PSN Premium Services; PlayStation Plus will be launching at the end of the month. You can buy a one year subscription for $49.99 or a 3 month subscription for $17.99. If you purchase the one year subscription choice right away, you can get the first 3 months free, meaning you have 15 months of PlayStation Plus and an inFamous 2 demo. So, check your wallet
  2. Demos and release dates for games like LittleBigPlanet 2, Gran Turismo 5, PlayStation Move and God of War Ghost of Sparta; gameplay footage of LBP2 was shown, Gran Turismo 5 was dated for November 2nd 2010, PlayStation Move will come out in September of this year and there wasn’t a gameplay footage nor release date for God of War, but no stress
  3. Trailers for games such as inFamous 2 and Motorstorm Apocolypse; inFamous 2 got a debut trailer and it did not disappoint. It showed the face of the redesigned Cole and his new voice actor, and a man who wielded a sword. inFamous 2 looks like it’ll take us through one hell of a ride
Things I wanted

  1. Ico Collection; We didn’t get that, but instead we got the Sly Collection, which is isn’t as good, but it’s something.
  2. Mass Effect coming to PS3; We didn’t take this (yet). But we did however get a pleasant surprise from Gabe Newell, announcing that Portal 2 will be released on PS3 and it will have exclusive features, making it the best console version of the game.
  3. PS2 games on the store; Wishful thinking
