PS All-Stars Supports Arcade Stick Controllers

Fighting game fans rejoice, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will support your many arcade sticks!

SuperBot Entertainment has revealed that their upcoming Sony brawler, PlayStation All-Stars, will support controller configurations for most arcade stick controllers. According to SuperBot’s Facebook post, the joystick and the DualShock 3′s d-pad inputs are pretty much identical, making for a seamless integration. Combined with the circle, triangle and square buttons, players will be able to perform all 24 unique attacks. The only difference is that with arcade stick controllers, throws are performed with an “easy button combination, similar to many traditional fighting games.” This action is performed with the Right Stick on the DualShock 3 controller.

Excited for this Sony brawler, and looking for a new reason to bring out that arcade stick that isn’t Street Fighter or Tekken? Then be on the lookout for this title when it releases on October 23, 2012. Also be on the lookout for the public beta, scheduled to start sometime this fall.
