For starters, this is the Injustice Collector’s Edition for Europe. At first glance, fans can spot an awesome looking statue – much better than the American one IMO, some pre-order DLC voucher, a steelbook case, Collector’s Box and a comic book. Nothing out of the ordinary. However, taking another look at the comic book may reveal some details on the game.
The comic book is the start of a brand new DC Comics series. We don’t know much about the comic book at all, but it seems highly unlikely the game will package a comic that has nothing to do with said game. Notice on the cover of the comic book, the logos of the many DC Heroes appear. Of course we have Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and the Flash – all confirmed to appear in the game. However, three other logos appear alongside those as well – Robin, Green Lantern and an ‘X’ logo. Green Lantern is pretty much a gimme character, more than likely expected to be in the game. Robin, however, is a bit more of a surprise. The ‘X’ logo is pretty mysterious, but after some searching one character was made known to not have a logo. That character is Martian Manhunter. While he does not sport his own logo, on his chest there is an ‘X’ shape.
That being said, it seems as though the Collector’s Edition may have just revealed three more characters on the Injustice roster. If this is true, I can rest assure the roster is going to be pretty robust. However, it is important to take note of that number of Batman characters revealed so far – Batman, Solomon Grundy, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, Catwoman and now maybe Robin. This is of course without the inevitable reveal of The Joker. The game’s most recent trailer seems to put a heavy focus on Batman as well. Could the character’s universe play an important role in the story? Players will have to wait until April 2013 to find out!
