PS3 Update 4.30 Brings its Vita Relationship Closer Together

A new software update was announced just recently that is sure to please the many Trophy hunters out there.

For starters, update 4.30 has the Trophy list now be placed underneath the PlayStation Network menu in the XMB. The update will also finally allow Vita trophies can now be viewed on PS3 systems. This has been a feature asked for by owners of both systems for the longest now.

The update will also close the “Life With PlayStation (folding@home) feature on the PS3. The feature was a great success and aided Stanford University in the research of illnesses such as Parkinson’s and the such.

The update will go live October 23, this coming Tuesday. This is also the same day the redesigned PlayStation Store was set to launch, though it has since been delayed. Also scheduled is a full-fledged ‘Long Live Play’ advertisement. Safe to say, this is a busy week for PlayStation gamers. Stay tuned!
